Coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly in the country and the numbers of new cases coming every day is increasing. During the last 24 hours, a highest number of coronavirus cases have been reported across the country once again. According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 48,661 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country from 8 am Saturday to 8 am Sunday. With these new cases, the total coronavirus cases in the country have now increased to 13,85,522.
Due to corona infection, people are losing their lives and the number of deaths has increased. According to the Health Ministry, during the 24 hours, 705 people have died due to coronavirus across the country and till now the virus has caused 32,063 deaths in the country.
With the record of new cases of corona coming to the country, it is matters of relief that now the numbers of people recovering are also increasing rapidly. During the last 24 hours, 36,145 people have completely recovered from coronavirus across the country. This is the highest number of people who have been cured in a single day. Till date, a total of 8,85,576 people have been completely cured of the coronavirus across the country. The recovery rate of coronavirus in the country is 63.91 percent. There are now 4,67,882 total active cases of Corona in the country.
Record-breaking testing is being conducted in India to identify cases of corona, daily testing numbers has crossed 4 lakh mark. On Saturday, more than 4 lakh tests have been conducted for the second consecutive day. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), more than 4.42 lakh corona tests have been conducted in the country on Saturday. So far more than 1.62 crore tests have been conducted in the country.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total numbers of cases worldwide has reached over 1.62 crore mark. So far more than 6.48 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 99.13 lakh people all over the world have been cured of the coronavirus. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States. Where more than 43.15 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.49 lakh people have died. Followed by more than 23.96 lakh cases in Brazil and 86 deaths. In Russia too, more than 8.06 lakh cases have been reported and more than 13 thousand people have lost their lives.
