According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, during the last 24 hours, there have been 28,498 new cases of coronavirus reported in the country and the total number has increased to 9, 06,752. Although active cases are about 35 percent of the total cases. The figure for active cases is 3, 11,565.
The numbers of people who are losing their lives due to coronavirus are also increasing continuously, during the last 24 hours only 573 people have died due to coronavirus across the country and till now a total of 23,727 people lost their lives due to corona. However, the mortality rate due to coronavirus has started decreasing now.
With the increase of Coronavirus infection in India, the number of people recovering from Corona are also increasing rapidly and so far a total of 5, 71,459 people have been cured across the country. During the last 24 hours, 17,989 people across the country have recovered from Corona. Coronavirus recovery rate in the country has crossed 63 percent.
There is continuous testing in the country for identification of coronavirus patients. On Monday, more than 2.86 lakh tests have been conducted across the country. The total coronavirus testing in the country has increased to over 120 million. After the United States, Russia and Britain, the highest number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in India.
Globally, the number of cases of coronavirus has increased to over 1.32 crore. So far more than 5.75 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 76.96 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States, where more than 34.79 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.38 lakh people have died, followed by Brazil with more than 18.87 lakh cases and 72 thousand deaths. In Russia too, more than 7.33 lakh cases have been reported and more than 11 thousand people have lost their lives.
