Coronavirus cases are continuously increasing in the country. No medicine or vaccine has yet been developed for this deadly virus. For this reason, patients are being treated through many experiments. One such experiment is plasma therapy. In many states including Delhi, this therapy is being given to seriously infected patients. In such a situation, today we tell you about plasma therapy.

What is plasma therapy?

Plasma therapy is given to patients by separating plasma from blood. It has also been used in many other diseases before. Speaking of coronavirus, when the infected patient is cured, antibodies are made in his body. These antibodies develop in the plasma present inside the person's blood. This therapy is being used to treat the seriously infected person, from which they are recovering quickly. Recently, the Health Minister of Delhi was also treated with plasma therapy. His health is improving very fast.

With the help of antibodies present in the body of the person recovering from the infection, the virus present in the blood of COVID-19 patients can be eliminated. Plasma therapy treatment has been done for centuries to treat infectious diseases. Earlier, plasma therapy was also used in the treatment of epidemics like SARS, Mars, and H1N1.
