Covid-19: 65 Year old Woman Recovers from Plasma Therapy in Noida

In Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) the number of infected patients is increasing continuously, while so far a total of 235 patients have gone to their homes after getting healthy. In this sequence, for the first time in the district, a 65-year-old woman was successfully treated with plasma therapy. It should be noted that this is the first case of a corona infected patient recovering from plasma therapy at Jims Hospital in Greater Noida.

The female patient is a resident of Agra and was found infected on 5 May. The woman was sent from Metro Hospital to Jims Hospital, whereas the woman was started giving plasma therapy 12 days after recruitment. Dr. Saurabh Srivastava, Nodal Officer of JIMS, said, "The woman was suffering from diabetes, blood pressure and she also had difficulty in breathing. The woman's x-ray report showed her to have pneumonia and was also corona positive, her treatment lasted for about 15 days and then the woman was sent home around 21 or 22 May. "

Apart from this, 4 more patients are currently being treated with plasma therapy at Jims Hospital. The doctor of the same hospital, Brigadier Dr. Rakesh Gupta, said, "Plasma therapy increases immunity within the patient and positive response of treatment with plasma therapy is also coming."

The Gims Hospital in Greater Noida had sought permission from ICMR to treat its patients with plasma therapy and after receiving permission, they began treating patients with this therapy, besides this the corona-infected patient can donate his plasma once he is fully healthy.

The infected patients are currently undergoing treatment at Sharda Hospital, Child PGI and JIMS in Gautam Budhnagar, but only GIMS is allowed to treat patients with plasma therapy. Happily, 5 people have donated their plasma at the Gims and every healthy person has donated 400 ml of their plasma. Let us tell you that 400 ml plasma can treat 2 patients.
