A few days after the Pakistani government announced the relaxation of the lockdown, there has been a record increase in Corona cases. In Pakistan, 627 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 23 people have lost their lives during this period. There have been a total of 7027 corona cases in Pakistan, while 134 people have died due to this deadly virus.

According to the Dawn News report, experts fear the relaxation in the lockdown will increase the number of corona cases, especially during the month of Ramadan, to mobilize for Iftar and Sehri to spread the deadly virus can be the main cause.

An official of the Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) said that 5,300 tests have been conducted for the first time during the last 24 hours. Whereas earlier around 2400 tests were being done in general, he reported that half the confirmed cases during this period were found among those who participated in the tabligi program in the city of Raivind in Punjab province.

However, Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Affairs, while talking to Dawn News said that the number of cases should not be linked to the relaxation given in the lockdown. He said, there were actually a lot of people in seclusion and sometimes this happens when a lot of testing is done. A similar increase was seen on April 7, when around 700 cases were reported within 24 hours.

The second thing is that we have tested 5,300 people in 24 hours as compared to 3,000 people, due to which the number of cases has also doubled.
