The Indian Institute of Medical Research (ICMR) has selected 12 medical institutes and hospitals, including NIMS, for the clinical trial of vaccines. The medical officer said, "Everything will be sent to ICMR, where the data is analyzed." We have already started screening people. We will first get the consent of the person on camera. "
On the total number of people required for the clinical trial, Manohar said that at least 30 people would be needed. Bharat Biotech, together with ICMR and the National Institute of Virology, has developed a "covaxin" vaccine for the treatment of COVID-19. Human testing of this vaccine was recently approved by the Medicine Controller General of India.
