The country's first Central Police University will be established in Greater Noida near the Yamuna Expressway. According to a document of the Ministry of Home Affairs, in-principle approval has been given for the establishment of the university and 100 acres of land has also been identified for this in Sector Techzone. Not only this, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has also confirmed the allocation of land for the Police University for Rs 372 crore.

Narendra Bhushan, CEO of Greater Noida Authority, said, 'After completion of all the formalities, the letter of allotment of land for the university was issued on 13 September. We have received Rs 37 crore as the 10% advance price of the land. 20% of the amount will be received in the next week. After getting 30 per cent of the land amount, we will give possession of the land.

An official of Greater Noida Authority said that we will cooperate fully in the establishment of the university. Bhushan said, 'It is a matter of pride that a National Police University will be established in our city. This will help in improving the law and order of the country and living up to the standard. Apart from this, training of policemen will also be better.
