Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi died at the age of 86 and was hospitalized. He died at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital on Monday evening. However, on Sunday it was reported that there was a slight improvement in the health of 86-year-old Tarun Gogoi. Superintendent of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Abhijeet Sarma had said that he is half-conscience at the moment. The veteran Congress leader was admitted to GMCH on 2 November due to COVID-19. Sarma told reporters that the doctors have done all the tests again, due to which his condition has shown improvement compared to Saturday.
48 hours were very important for him
He further said, we said on Saturday night that 48 hours is very important for him. Twenty four hours have passed and there is no deterioration in his health status. He further said that Gogoi’s pulse rate and blood pressure are being investigated, and his oxygen level is 95-97 percent.
He said that at the moment the only concern is the condition of his kidneys. Which is 100-120 ml in 24 hours. He had said that doctors would soon decide the next step which would be to improve the functioning of his kidneys. The Superintendent of GMCH had said that Tarun Gogoi opened his eyes and looked around on Sunday morning.
