Coronavirus pandemic continues wreaking havoc worldwide. According to worldometer.com, so far, 39,634,820 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the world. Of these, 29,680,228 people have recovered from this deadly virus, while 1,109,858 patients have died.
Vaccine will be developed by the end of the year:
According to a report by The Guardian, the US Company Pfizer has said that it will propose to approve the vaccine in front of the Trump Administration and FDA next month. According to the company, it is expected that the vaccine will be available to all by the end of this year.
At the same time, a report by Bloomberg says that the company is going to ask for the approval of the vaccine initially only for emergency use. It is less likely that a vaccine will be available in the US before Elections.
According to FDA guidelines, health workers involved in the final trial are kept under observation for two months after the vaccine is given. During this time, it is tried to find out if there are any side effects of the vaccine.
Hong Kong temporarily canceled Air India and Vistara flights:
Hong Kong has canceled Air India and Vistara flights from 17 to 30 October. This decision has been taken after the infected passengers were found on both flights. This is the third time Hong Kong’s government has banned Air India’s flight. Earlier, it was banned from 20 September to 3 October and from 18 to 31 August.
However, Vistara flights have been canceled for the first time. As per the rules issued by the government in July, passengers from India can only travel there if they have a negative report in the test conducted 72 hours before the trip.
America: Vice-Presidential candidate Kamala Harris postpones all tour
In the US, the communications director of the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate campaign and staff of her flight have been found infected with the coronavirus. Harris’ campaign manager Jane O’Malley Dillon gave this information. He told that Kamala did not come in contact with the staff. However, she has postponed all her tours. Kamala has undergone tests twice after the staff got infected. Her report has come back negative.
