Coronavirus pandemic continues wreaking havoc worldwide. According to worldometer.com, 194,967,707 cases have been reported so far. Of these, 176,888,707people have recovered, while 4,178,305 people have died.

Biological E's COVID-19 vaccine Corbevax likely to be launched in September:

Hyderabad-based Pharma giant Biological E is likely to launch its COVID-19 vaccine 'Corbevax' by the end of September this year. According to the information received by the sources on Monday, this is an RBD protein subunit vaccine, which is currently undergoing Phase III clinical trials.

Thousands of people protested on the streets of Sydney and other Australian cities to protest against lockdown restrictions. More than 39,000 cases reported in India:

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 39,361 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,14,11,262. With 416 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 4,20,967.

The country also witnessed 35,968 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,05,79,106. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 97.35 %. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.34 %. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 4,11,189. The active cases rate in India stands at 1.31 %.
