Coronavirus pandemic continues wreaking havoc worldwide. According to worldometer.com, 192,329,727 cases have been reported so far. Of these, 175,004,410 people have recovered, while 4,135,069 people have died.

Canada to open border for fully vaccinated US citizens in August:

Canada will open its borders to fully vaccinated US citizens next month after a nearly 17-month closure. In a statement released by the Government of Canada, "On September 7, 2021, provided that the domestic epidemiologic situation remains favourable, the Government intends to open Canada's borders to any fully vaccinated travellers who have completed the full course of vaccination with a Government of Canada-accepted vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering Canada and who meet specific entry requirements."

This preliminary step allows for the Government of Canada to fully operationalize the adjusted border measures ahead of September 7, 2021, and recognizes the many close ties between Canadians and Americans," it added. On the other hand, All Saudi citizens will need to be fully Covid-19 vaccinated in order to travel outside the kingdom from August 9, 2021, said the Ministry of Interior on Monday.

More than 42,000 cases reported in India:

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 42,015 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,12,16,337. With 3998 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 4,18,480.

The country also witnessed 36,977 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,03,90,687. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 97.36 %. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.34 %. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 4,07,170. The active cases rate in India stands at 1.30 %.
