The ministry said, there has been a decrease of 20,303 active cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, the total number of active cases in the country stands at 6,95,509. On the other hand, a total of 1,17,306 people have died due to the virus so far.
Decline in new coronavirus cases:
On Thursday, 55,838 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported, while on Friday, 54,366 new cases have been reported. On the other hand, 690 patients have lost their lives. At the same time, 702 people died due to the virus yesterday.
7,539 cases reported in Maharashtra:
The state has reported a total of 7,539 cases on Thursday, while 198 people died. At the same time, 16,177 people also recovered. Mumbai district recorded the maximum number of 1,463 cases while 4120 people were cured.
Uttar Pradesh: 2383 confirmed cases reported
