According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report as on 10 March, about 100 people in Sri Lanka have been found positive in the coronavirus test. In a small but densely populated country like Sri Lanka, around 100 people have been found infected with corona. In such a situation, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has also come forward to help the country and fight the coronavirus. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has decided to provide financial help to the country.

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has helped the country with 25 million Sri Lankan rupees in view of Coronavirus Crisis, which is around Rs 1 crore in Indian rupees. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has informed on its official Twitter handle that they are donating this amount. SLC wrote, "Sri Lankan cricket has decided to help the government with LKR 25 million to stop the Covid 19 epidemic."

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has also attached the press release on its Twitter account and has given all the information about the country. According to the press release, this amount has been provided directly to the government. The government will spend this amount on health in the country and will invest in those who are fighting against coronavirus. Thankfully, not a single person has died due to coronavirus in Sri Lanka so far.
