Indian badminton team head coach Pullela Gopichand has donated Rs 26 lakh in the fight against the coronavirus. He has given 11 lakh in PM Cares Fund, 10 lakh in Telangana CM Relief Fund and five lakh rupees to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Relief Fund. Former hockey captain Dhanraj Pillai and 23-time world champion Pankaj Advani have given Rs 5 lakh to the PM Cares Fund. ILIG Football Club Mirnava Punjab has also donated five lakh rupees. The club has given two lakh rupees for PM Cares Fund and one lakh each for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.

Before Advani, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Kedar Jadhav, former veteran spinner Anil Kumble, table tennis player G Sathiyan have also contributed to PM Cares Fund.
