Coronavirus: New Zealand Decides to Lift Restrictions after Nation Declared Corona-Free

New Zealand has won the battle against Coronavirus. For the last 17 days, no new case of Covid-19 has been reported in the country. Apart from this, the last active case has also recovered, after which the restrictions in the country have been announced to end from Monday midnight. The last infected case in New Zealand was a woman who has been fully recovered and no longer has any symptoms.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that her country will move beyond the Level-1 alert, under which the rules of social distancing will continue to apply. Weddings, last rites and public transport will be started from Monday midnight without any restrictions. The last New Zealand patient was admitted to a hospital in Auckland, who has been discharged for 48 hours. The PM said that we will wait for one more week if no new case comes, then New Zealand will be declared the first corona-free country in the world.
