India was scheduled to play against New Zealand on 23 and 24 May in Bhubaneswar. New Zealand has also canceled the women's team's tour of China.
Coronavirus: New Zealand Cancelled FIH Pro League tie against India

India's last round of domestic competition in the FIH Pro League next month has been canceled due to Corona. The New Zealand hockey team canceled the league matches due to travel restrictions. India was scheduled to play against New Zealand on 23 and 24 May in Bhubaneswar. New Zealand has also canceled the women's team's tour of China.

Hockey New Zealand Chief Executive Ian Francis said, "The decision has been taken on the basis of travel restrictions and lockdowns imposed by the New Zealand Government as well as the advice of doctors. Our men's team will not travel to India and the women's team to China."

Earlier, the International Hockey Federation had indicated to extend the season of Pro League matches to July-August. India is fourth in the FIH Pro League while New Zealand is in the sixth position. India won two matches and lost one. Hockey India CEO Elena Norman expressed disappointment over the match's cancellation but supported New Zealand's decision.
