Coronavirus: Infected Cases Crossed 2 Thousand Figure in UP with 34 Deaths so far

The number of infected people in the state rose to 2053 with 66 new cases of Corona virus infection reported in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 3 people have also died, due to which the figure of the dead has increased to 34. At the same time, a worrying thing has been noticed in the cases of infection that have come out from Uttar Pradesh, that the biggest source of infection in the state is coming out of 'medical side'. This means that the infection is spreading among the doctors and other health workers and then from them to the rest. An official said that measures are being taken to deal with it.

In a statement issued Tuesday evening by Joint Secretary of Health Department, Vikasendu Aggarwal said that '66 new corona infected cases came to light on Tuesday, thus the number of infected patients has increased to 2053 in 60 districts of the state. 2 patients died in Agra while one died in Kanpur. "Dr. Aggarwal said that the most infected cases are 17 from Agra, 12 from Varanasi, 8 from Kanpur Nagar, 5 from Moradabad and Lucknow. He said that 64 patients were cured on Tuesday and the number of people recovering from Corona virus infection in the state has reached 462.

Earlier, Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said that the biggest source of infection is coming out of 'medical side'. Doctors and nurses are getting infected in hospitals and they are infecting others. Prasad said, 'Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath is very aware of this and has expressed concern about it. There have been cases of healthcare staff getting infected from many districts. He informed that committees have been formed in all 75 districts under the leadership of Additional Chief Medical Officer, including doctors, IMA, WHO and UNICEF representatives, officials of Pollution Control Board and Quality Consultants.
