India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 54,069 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,00,82,778. With 1,321 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,91,981.
The country also witnessed 68,885 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,90,63,740. With this, the country’s recovery rate has increased to 96.61%. On the other hand, India’s mortality rate stands at 1.30%.
Decline in active cases continue:
There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 16,137. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 6,27,057. The active cases rate in India stands at 2.08 %.
Over 39 crore samples tested so far:
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 18,59,469 samples were tested across the country on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a total of 39,78,32,667 samples have been tested so far till June 23.
Over 30 crores vaccine doses administered so far:
Meanwhile, mass vaccination against COVID-19 is underway in the country. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, so far 30,16,26,028 people have been vaccinated in the country. Out of this, 64,89,599 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
More than 500 cases reported in Delhi:
On Thursday, 588 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 702 people recovered and 7 died. So far, 14.33 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 14.06 lakh have cured, while 24,940 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 1,797 patients who are undergoing treatment.
Rajasthan: less than 200 cases reported:
On Thursday, 155 cases of coronavirus reported in the state. Of these, 364 people recovered and 1 died. So far, 9.51 lakh people have tested positive for coronavirus in the state. Of these, 9.40 lakh people have been cured, while 8,905 patients have died. At present, 2,178 patients are undergoing treatment.
