India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 1,27,510 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 2,81,75,044.
The country also witnessed 2,55,287 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,59,47,629. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 92.09%. With 2,795 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,31,895. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.18%.
There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 1,30,572. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 1,89,5520. The active cases rate in India stands at 6.73%.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 19,25,374 samples were tested across the country on Monday. Meanwhile, a total of 34,67,92,257 samples have been tested so far till May 31.
Meanwhile, mass vaccination against COVID-19 is underway in the country. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, so far 21,60,46,638 people have been vaccinated in the country. Out of this, 27,80,058 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the state reported 15,077 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 15,077 patients recovered and 500 died. So far, 57.46 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 53.95 lakh people have recovered, while 95,344 have died. Currently, there are about 2.53 lakh people, who are undergoing treatment.
On Tuesday, 648 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 1622 people recovered and 86 died. So far, 14.26 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 13.90 lakh have cured, while 24,237 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 11,040 patients who are undergoing treatment.
On Monday, 1,498 cases of coronavirus reported in the state. Of these, 8,000 people recovered and 68 died. So far, 9.39 lakh people have tested positive for coronavirus in the state. Of these, 8.88 lakh people have been cured, while 8,385 patients have died. At present, 42,654 patients are undergoing treatment.
