Pakistan opens its borders for a day on Friday. China on Thursday had asked Pakistan to open a border between the two countries for a day on Friday so that medical supplies could be transported to the country to fight the coronavirus epidemic.  According to Pakistan's Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed cases with Sindh province at the top with 429 patients has come to around 1,235.

Chinese medicine equipment can be supplied to fight the rising coronavirus outbreak in the country.  During this period in Pakistan, the number of positive cases of Coronavirus has reached 1,235, where 9 people have lost their lives.

Punjab, the largest province, has 408 patients, 147 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 131 in Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) 91, 27 in Islamabad and 2 in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).  According to government data, 9 patients have died, 23 have recovered and 7 are in critical condition.

Let us tell you that the Khunjerab Pass is usually opened on 1 April, but due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, the border between Pakistan and China was closed indefinitely.  According to Dawn, the Chinese embassy said in a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the governor of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region wants to deliver medical supplies to Gilgit-Baltistan.
