Coronavirus: 1612 Active Cases in UP, 400 People Recovered with 31 Deaths

On Tuesday, the number of active corona virus patients increased to 1612 on Tuesday. "The total number of active cases in the state is 1612," Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters here. A total of 400 people have recovered completely and gone home while 31 have died unfortunately. "Prasad said that a total of 2043 cases of infection have been reported from 60 districts of the state so far. At present, there are seven districts where there is no infection. He said that yesterday a total of 4384 samples were tested and 2900 samples were sent to the lab.

Prasad said that the biggest source of corona virus infection is coming out of 'medical infection'. Doctors and nurses are getting infected in hospitals and they are being infected by others. "The Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath is extremely aware of this and has expressed concern about it. There have been cases of health workers getting infected from many districts. "He said that committees have been formed in all 75 districts under the leadership of Additional Chief Medical Officer, including doctors, representatives of IMA, WHO and UNICEF. , Pollution control board officers and quality consultants.

Prasad said that all the committees have been told that at least ten hospitals in the district headquarters and at least five hospitals in other districts will be trained tomorrow by one of their nodal officers on how to follow the protocol of medical infection. He informed that the nodal officers will impart training to other doctors and para medical staff of their hospitals. This training will be done tomorrow so that from April 30, these hospitals will follow the protocol and provide necessary medical facilities, so that health workers also remain safe and people will get facilities. Prasad said that other hospitals, who would like to be trained, will also be trained by May 5.

The Principal Secretary said that the Chief Minister has also given instructions that the number of separate beds in L-1 hospitals should be increased. Temporary hospitals are also being built in that order, whereas some have been identified and will notify them by this evening. By this evening, we will be adding 8000 beds in L-1 hospitals. Over ten thousand beds are already ready. He informed that as of today, there are 1764 patients in separate wards while there are 11,725 people in the separate unit.

Regarding PPE kits, Prasad clarified that earlier PPE kits were taken for 'H1N1' and were used all over the state. These kits should not be compared to the present kit as the old kit was only Rs 115 and the current kit is Rs 1100 i.e. there is a tenfold difference in the price, so comparison is not suitable. Those kits were approved for that time and they have been used throughout the state, while No one had an infection.
