The outbreak of Corona has wreaked havoc on aviation companies. There are reports of frequent cuts in the salaries of employees by the airlines. Now Air India has suspended the contract of its 200 pilots.

After retiring, these pilots were given jobs in Air India. Significantly, Air India had already decided to cut the salary of all its employees by 10 percent for the next three months. Recently, aviation company SpiceJet decided to cut the salary of its employees by 10 to 30 percent.

According to the news agency PTI, an Air India official said, "Almost all the planes are standing on the ground, due to this the company's earnings have been severely hurt in the last few weeks. Therefore, the airlines have decided to temporarily suspend the contracts of 200 of their pilots who were recruited after retirement.

Significantly, due to Corona, about one-third of the countries of the world including India are under lockdown. In such a situation, it has broken into havoc for the travel and tourism industry. Air travel in India is also completely banned.

India has also banned special flights coming into the country. The lockdown has broken the spine of India's aviation sector. The sector's share in national GDP (GDP) is about $ 70 billion. The Civil Aviation Ministry also barred flights with VIPs and VVIPs in the country till April 14.

Seeing the increasing number of Covid-19 cases from foreign countries in India, the Indian government first banned all types of international air traffic from 23 to 29 March. Then this moratorium was extended to 14 April. All domestic flights are also halted until midnight on 14 April.
