Due to the rising havoc of the Corona virus, the Karnataka government has asked the district administration to convert residential schools and hostels department into quarantine centers for the social welfare.

The state government said, this step is being taken due to the rapid spread of the corona virus in our country. To limit the spread of the virus, schools and colleges have been closed by April 15, 2020. It should be noted that, the number of corona virus patients in India has crossed 800.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol said in a statement, "Wherever and whenever required, these residential schools and hostels can be converted into quarantine centers by the district administration at no additional cost.

It should be noted that, the number of corona virus patients is increasing rapidly in the country, in this way all the central schools of the country will also be made isolation centers. Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resource Development had instructed Navodaya Vidyalayas in the country to provide such hostels which are vacant. In which no student is staying. Such hostels will be used as medical facilities for corona virus patients.
