The corona virus spread from Wuhan city of China has caused havoc in the whole world including India and the highest number of cases is reported in Maharashtra. Maharashtra has now surpassed China in the total cases of corona virus patients, whereas in the last 24 hours, 3007 corona virus patients have been reported in Maharashtra and with this, the number of corona virus patients in Maharashtra has now crossed 85 thousand figure. In view of the outbreak of Corona virus, Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra is continuously releasing prisoners from jail. The Maharashtra government has so far released 9 thousand 671 prisoners to ensure social distancing in the jail, whereas also 11 thousand more prisoners are going to be released.
On Sunday, Maharashtra Government Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said, "38 thousand prisoners were lodged in 60 prisons of the state, out of which 9 thousand 671 prisoners have been released. Now we are going to release 11,000 more prisoners on emergency parole. Also, we have built 31 temporary jails in 24 districts." At the same time, 3007 new cases of corona virus were reported in Maharashtra on Sunday, with this, the number of corona virus patients in Maharashtra has gone up to 85 thousand 975, out of which 3060 people have died. The corona virus began to spread from Wuhan, China, however, the corona virus in China is almost under control and so far 83 thousand 36 cases have been reported.
Corona patients are also being treated continuously in Maharashtra, whereas 1924 more corona patients have been cured by treatment and they have also been discharged from the hospitals. With this, 39314 corona virus patients have been cured by treatment in the state so far, while there are 43591 active cases of Corona in Maharashtra at present.
