A residential complex located on Nepean Sea Road in Malabar Hill Area of Mumbai has been sealed after 21 cases of Covid-19 were reported from there in seven days. This information was given by an officer of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday. This officer said that 19 of the 21 patients are domestic assistants, drivers and security personnel. Assistant Metropolitan Commissioner (D Ward) Prashant Gaikwad said, "Household assistants work in different flats in the building and may be they have spread the infection. The entire building had to be sealed to break the chain of infection. "
"We have shifted the domestic helpers and security personnel to separate centers and have asked the housing complex's society to sanitize the shared toilets at least four to six times a day," he said. The building is being sanitized and residents are being screened.
Significantly, Mumbai and Delhi are the most affected cities in the country in the case of corona infection. So far, more than 65 thousand cases of corona infected have been reported in Mumbai and 3561 people have lost their lives due to corona here. The number of corona cases in the country has crossed 4 lakh 25 thousand mark.
