Speaking at the National Co-operation Conference, Union Minister Amit Shah said he is proud to be the first Minister of the Ministry of Cooperation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give me this opportunity. He said as Minister of Cooperation, I want to tell leaders and workers across the country that the era of negligence is now over. The priority period has begun. So let's all work together to move the cooperative forward.

Amit Shah said that the cooperative movement in India can never be irrelevant. Cooperatives have got mixed in the ideas and nature of the people here. This is not a borrowed idea. The cooperative movement will progress the rural society of India and also create the concept of new social capital.

Associated with the movement for 25 years

Union Minister Amit Shah further said that I have been associated with the cooperative movement for 25 years. Whenever any calamity has hit the country, cooperative movements have taken the country out. Cooperative banks work for the people without worrying about profits. Because there is co-operation in the culture of India.

Amul and Lijjat two dimensions of cooperative

Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that Amul and Lijjat are two dimensions of cooperatives. Where crores of farmers of the country are associated with Amul, women have got employment from Lijjat Papad. He further said that the Ministry of Cooperation has been created to strengthen the cooperative. However, cooperative institutions have to be modernized to create a successful cooperative that survives the competition.

Millions of people were listening online

Let us tell you that crores of people from all over the world associated with the collective body were listening online to the country's first cooperative conference being held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. Apart from online, two thousand people were present in the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.

A spokesman for the Department of Cooperatives said this was the first major conference, addressed by the Minister-in-Charge of Cooperative Governance. They are placing the vision of the government in front of the country. Minister of State for Cooperation BL Verma and International Cooperative Alliance President Ariel Guarco are also participating in the conference. This conference is being organized by bodies like IFFCO, National Cooperative Federation of India, Amul, Sahakar Bharati. IFFCO in a statement said the summit would speed up and strengthen Indian alliances at the international level.
