Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is embroiled in controversies. Actually, Deepika is auctioning some clothes to support her charity foundation The Live Love Laugh Foundation. Many clothes worn by Deepika have been included in this auction but some clothes have also created controversy. Actually, Deepika has worn two kurtas which she has given for auction on those occasions which no one wants to remember.
A user on social media claimed that one of these Lucknowi kurtas was worn by Deepika when she attended actress Jiah Khan's funeral while the other was worn by her in Priyanka Chopra's father Ashok Chopra Prayer Meet after he died in 2013.
Social media users are angry after Deepika did this. One social media user wrote I am very surprised. My favourite Deepika Padukone has decided to auction off some of the 2013 outfits that she wore in two funeral events in 2013. good damn!
Another social media user wrote, Who will buy old, second-hand clothes and shoes. Instead of selling them, you would have given them to the needy, classless. Please don't justify it by saying that you are doing this for charity, you cannot resell 10-15 years old shoes of Zara brand and old clothes of Ordinary brand. She would give it only to those working in her house or the needy.
Deepika Padukone has spoken many times about her condition in which she has struggled with depression. After recovering from this, in 2015, she founded the Live Love Laugh Foundation. The purpose of the foundation is to help depression sufferers. At one time, Deepika herself was suffering from depression and after a lot of effort pulled herself out of it, so now she wants to help such people.
On June 3, 2013, 25-year-old Jiah Khan was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the bedroom of her house in Juhu, Mumbai. At the same time, on June 10, 2013, Priyanka's father died of cancer.
