According to the decision taken under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, a control room has been created in the Lok Sabha through which to maintain the contact of MPs, MLAs with general public to help them amid corona crisis.

Cases of corona virus infection are increasing rapidly across the country. The corona infection spread in the country will also be monitored from the Parliament House. According to the decision taken under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, a control room has been created in the Lok Sabha through which to maintain the contact of MPs, MLAs with general public to help them amid corona crisis.

Om Birla's talks with the presiding officers in a video conferencing were discussed in detail. During this epidemic, the role of MPs, MLAs and members of the Legislative Council was discussed in the country to provide relief to the general public.

Om Birla had emphasized that the Parliament and the State Legislature stand with the Executive. MPs, MLAs and members of the Legislative Assembly Council are playing the right role in national efforts to stop the epidemic from spreading.

During the talks, Om Birla had requested all the state legislatures to set up a control room for real-time interaction of information between individual state legislatures and Parliament, allowing MPs, MLAs and members of the Legislative Council to fulfill their duties properly.
