Contempt Petition Filed Against the Makers of Chhapaak

Speaking to a news agency, Lakshmi's lawyer Arpana Bhatt gave the reason behind filing the petition.

A writer filed a case regarding the first script. After this Deepika Padukone went to JNU and had to face opposition from the people. The controversy arose over the tick-talk video after its release. After this, once the film Chhapaak is seen surrounded in controversies. Aparna Bhatt, advocate for acid attack survivor Lakshmi Agarwal, has knocked back the court.

Lawyer Arpana Bhatt has filed a contempt of court case against the makers of Chhapaak in Delhi High Court. She has told the court that despite the order, filmmakers and actress Deepika Padukone are not giving him credit. The petition has sought initiation of contempt action against the producers of the film for not following the High Court order. Earlier, the court directed the makers to give due credit to advocate Bhatt.

Speaking to a news agency, Lakshmi's lawyer Arpana Bhatt gave the reason behind filing the petition. She said that she has not been given credit at the international screening. However, Aparna stated that she was given credit during the film which was shown in India.
