Congress has Started Protesting Against the BJP in Maharashtra

The Congress in Delhi has started protesting against the BJP in the midst of a political drama in Maharashtra. Youth Congress workers protested and raised slogans in the capital. After Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as Chief Minister, the matter has reached the Supreme Court and the court has said that a decision will be given in this case on Tuesday.

Even before the commencement of Parliament proceedings, the Congress staged a protest in the Parliament complex under the leadership of Interim Speaker Sonia Gandhi. He carried a banner that read, "Stop the killing of democracy". Congress leaders also raised slogans against the BJP. In the Parliament too, proceedings had to be postponed due to uproar by Congress and NCP MPs in the case of Maharashtra. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi also said in the Lok Sabha that the BJP is killing the Constitution. The law minister also accused the leaders of the opposition of mistreating the marshals.

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the people of Maharashtra have given the mandate to make Devendra Fadnavis the Chief Minister and other parties along with Shiv Sena are trying to kill democracy.

The results of the Maharashtra assembly elections were declared on 24 October in which the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance got a majority to form the government. But later the Shiv Sena stuck to the issue of the post of Chief Minister and left the BJP. The governor in turn invited all the parties to form the government, but the Shiv Sena could not find a way out even after fussing with the Congress and NCP. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Deputy Chief Minister by Chief Minister NCP leader Ajit Pawar. Now the matter is in the Supreme Court.
