In this series, Tata Group company Tata Steel has made a big announcement. Tata Steel has announced that the company will continue to pay full salary even 60 years after the death of any of its employees from Corona. That is, till the age of retirement of the deceased employee/nominee, the family dependent on them will get full salary. The salary amount will be equal to the last salary of the deceased employee. Along with this, children's education, medical, and housing facilities will also be available.
According to the company, even after the death of all frontline workers while on duty, the company will bear the entire expenses of their children studying up to graduation in India.
Before Tata Steel, the auto company Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) had also said that if an employee of the company dies due to the corona epidemic, then they will pay their families/dependents up to 5 years of salary and double the annual income once. I will give Also, for the education of the children of the deceased employee, every year up to class 12, every child will be given the assistance of up to two lakh rupees.
This initiative of companies in the private sector is expected to bring great relief to the employees working in the sector. Significantly, after the death of central government employees, their dependents get facilities like good money and pension, but there is no such facility in the private sector. In March 2020, 14 months and 10 days after the first death from Corona, the number of deaths from Corona in the country was 3 lakh.
