CM Yogi Said – Government will not Impose New Tax, Emphasis on giving Concession to Public

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that Uttar Pradesh's economy is now back on track after fighting the Corona disaster.  Economic activities in the state are advancing rapidly and we are getting better revenue in May than in April.  During the Corona crisis, Uttar Pradesh has benefited the most from the economic package announced by the central government.  The government will not impose any new tax on the public to compensate for the financial loss caused by the lockdown, but is trying to give more relief to it.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a virtual press conference on Sunday through webinars.  He said that during the Corona crisis, the government has also worked to accelerate economic activities.  We try to take both 'Jaan Bhi and Jahan Bhi' together.  Almost all major projects have started. Expressway projects, dedicated freight corridors and medical colleges have started construction.  The MSME sector has started working with 27 lakh people.  Major industries have started in which more than 65 thousand people have started work.  The tourism sector got hit due to the Corona crisis but now activities in this sector will move forward again.

On another question, he said that proposals for new investment have started coming.  Separate ministerial groups have been formed for investment in different sectors, desks have been set up for the convenience of businessmen of US, Japan and South Korea. Investors willing to step out of China see UP as India's best destination.  Recently a German company has selected Uttar Pradesh for investment.  Even in this time of crisis, UP is fully ready for new investment.
