Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a big gift to the people of Gorakhpur on Friday afternoon. He laid the foundation stone of the proposed Sainik School on 50 acres in the fertilizer factory premises. He said that with the help of this school, the flame of education, patriotism, and discipline would continue to burn in the state. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma was also present.
Sainik School, to be built in Gorakhpur Fertilizer Complex, will be the fifth Sainik School in the state. In this educational project starting with the goal of 'education to youth, protecting the country', education will be provided to boys and girls from class 6 to 12 under the residential system. There will be a separate campus for boys and girls. The administrative building of Gorakhpur's Sainik School will be a showcase of ancient Indian culture and tradition. All the buildings of the school will also inculcate the feeling of patriotism.
It is the intention of the Chief Minister that the atmosphere of the Sainik School campus should be such that the spirit of patriotism continues to instill in the students. According to the instructions of the CM, every building to be built here will be named after martyrs and great men. There will also be arrangements for horticulture, organic farming, and cowshed on the school campus.
Environmental protection will also be taken care of in the construction of Sainik School. Solar systems and rainwater harvesting will be arranged in all the buildings here. Apart from classrooms, hostels, multi-purpose auditorium, the auditorium will also be built. The entire campus will be covered with CCTV cameras to monitor security and discipline. Tracks will be made for march past, flag hoisting.
Sports talents will also be nurtured in the Sainik School campus. The students here will get training for sports like football, volleyball, basketball, horse riding, shooting, gymnastics, swimming, tennis, running, etc. and there will also be tracks and courts for this.
