Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 300-bed Covid-19 Hospital at the Pediatric Institute of Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Gorakhpur. During the inauguration on Monday, CM Yogi said, “Yesterday (Sunday) the state had conducted more than 1,55,000 tests in one day. We have seen the mortality rate and Covid-19 positive rate in the state is much lower than in many large countries. ”
Number of deaths due to infection has increased to 3,920
Significantly, 77 more people died in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday of Covid-19. At the same time, 6,777 new cases of infected have been reported. The Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Medicine and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday that during the last 24 hours, the number of deaths due to infection has increased to 3,920 with the death of 77 more people infected with the coronavirus. According to the report of the Health Department, the maximum number of 17 deaths occurred in Lucknow.
Apart from this, nine in Kanpur Nagar, four each in Deoria and Shahjahanpur, three each in Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Muzaffarnagar, two each in Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Maharajganj Lakhimpur Kheri, Siddharthnagar, Chandauli, Rae Bareli, and Banda. While Gautam Budh Nagar, Meerut, Ballia, Barabanki, Jaunpur, Agra, Ghazipur, Pilibhit, Bahraich, Pratapgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, Sambhal, Kanpur Dehat, Balrampur, Kaushambi, and Baghpat, reported one death each of infection.

Two lakh 738 people in the state have fully recovered from the Covid-19 infection
He said that during this period 6,777 new cases have come up in the state. In the capital Lucknow, 999 whereas 433 in Kanpur Nagar, 364 in Gorakhpur, 301 in Prayagraj, 220 in Gautam Budh Nagar, 199 in Aligarh and 180 Covid-19 cases have been reported in Ghaziabad. Additional Chief Secretary informed that at present 61,625 infected people are being treated in various Covid hospitals in the state. So far, two lakh 738 people in the state have fully recovered from the Covid-19 infection.
