Incidents of assault with policemen and medical personnel are coming to light in several parts of Uttar Pradesh during the lockdown imposed to deal with the corona infection. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered strict action under the National Security Act (NSA) against those who attacked the police at any place in the state during the lockdown.

Yogi Adityanath has taken this decision after the incident of assault on policemen and health workers in some districts of West UP. Some people attacked policemen for refusing to leave the house during a lockdown in Aligarh on Friday and earlier on 1 April in Muzaffarnagar district of UP. In such a situation, Chief Minister Yogi has ordered the officials that action should be taken under NSA against people who beat policemen at any place in the state.

If sources are to be believed, CM Yogi has also ordered strict action in the incident of misbehavior by the people of Tabligi Jamaat in Ghaziabad. CM Yogi has instructed that people of such tendency should be deal with complete strictness and should teach them to follow the law. At the same time, Chief Minister Yogi said that an incident like Indore should not be seen anywhere in UP, for this, do whatever strict action is required by law.

Actually, people of Tabligi Jamaat were kept in isolation ward in a hospital in Ghaziabad. But their actions are not being told as normal. The gathering patients listen to obscene songs in front of the staff nurse and keep making dirty gestures. Not only this, they are also demanding bidi and cigarettes from doctors and nurses.

The Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of District Government Hospital in Ghaziabad has informed about this in Ghanta Ghar Kotwali. Chief Medical Superintendent of MMG Hospital wrote a letter complaining that potential patients of corona virus kept in isolation ward, who belong to tablighi group, roam in the ward without clothes.

A complaint was given to the police station for registering a lawsuit in connection with obscene acts, non-cooperation etc. by the deposited people in the isolation ward made in MMG Hospital. In the same order, the police station has been registered under section 354, 294, 509, 269, 270 and 271 of IPC Crime Number 288/20 in Ghaziabad.

Not only this, some people pelted stones at doctors and nurses who went for screening in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The Shivraj government, while arresting 4 people in this case, ordered the imposition of NSA. UP CM Yogi Adityanath also made it clear that if an incident like Indore happens, then the NSA will be imposed on the culprits.
