The Congress is unhappy over not getting any department related to rural areas like agriculture and cooperatives. About a dozen Shiv Sena MLAs are also angry over not getting the cabinet post. So many MLAs are also upset due to their low rank. Explain that a total of 14 ministers of Shiv Sena have been appointed, including Ramdas Kadam, Ravindra Vaikar, Shiv Sena leader Diwakar Rawate, Deepak Kesarkar, who have been ministers in the previous government, have also not got the opportunity this time.

Despite being in power for more than a month, the opposition BJP in Maharashtra has targeted the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government for delaying the allocation of departments. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in on 28 November along with two members each of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress. Thereafter the cabinet was expanded on 30 December.
