CM Uddhav Thackeray Ordered a Review of all Ongoing Development Projects

The Shiv Sena has started the process of reversing the decisions of the Devendra Fadnavis government and reviewing schemes as soon as it comes to power. The new Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has ordered a review of all the ongoing development projects in the state, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train. Earlier, he had also stopped work of Aarey car shed for Mumbai Metro.

The CM had said that he has ordered a review of the bullet train project. The bullet train project faced stiff opposition from farmers and tribals whose land is to be acquired. He said late on Sunday night that this government is for the common man. Yes, we will review the bullet train (project) as you just asked. Have I stopped the bullet train project like Aarey car shed? No.'

Thackeray said that the state government, which has a loan of about five lakh crore rupees, is committed to waiving unconditional loans of farmers. The announcements were made a day after Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Thackeray-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of Congress won the trust vote with the support of 169 MLAs in the 288-member state assembly. Thackeray said that the priorities of the previous BJP-led government in the state had not been 'removed'. He said that there is no politics of vengeance in it.
