Amidst the coronavirus crisis, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference on Monday. He said that the number of corona cases has reached closed to one lakh, but there is no need to panic as the number of people who have been cured has reached near to 72000. The condition of Corona has improved more in the last week. Just like we used to test in the month of June, 35 out of every 100 people are found as corona infected, now only 11 out of 100 people are found corona infected.

Kejriwal said that 20,000 to 24000 tests are being conducted done daily. There are around 5100 patients in all the hospitals i.e. around 10,000 beds are empty. There is no problem of testing in Delhi at this time. In the app, you can see how many beds are empty. 15,000 patients are being treated from 25,000 patients in homes. There were about 125 deaths in Delhi in just 1 day in June, but now there are about 60 deaths.

He said that the first plasma bank started in the country last week. Plasma improves the condition of moderate people, helps in reducing the chances of death. The chaos that had taken place in the past for the plasma has reduced. Plasma bank started on Thursday but plasma demand is high and supply is very less. If the number of donors of plasma does not increase, then the plasma that is kept in stock will end. It is requested that more and more people come forward and donate plasma. There is no need to panic nor will you have any weakness or any pain.

The Chief Minister said that some people said that if they take someone with them, they will be an infected. ILBS is a non-corona hospital. One of my team is calling all the patients who are recovering and is appealing for donating plasma. If you get a call then you should definitely donate. Do not refuse. All the hospitals that Corona is treating should consult the patient when he is cured and tell him that he can donate plasma properly.
