This research was done on about 1000 women of America, in which some questions were asked about the beard on the partner's face. Researchers at the University of Queensland, Australia, included a total of 919 women aged between 18 and 70 years in this research and then gave them 30 photographs of different men.
These pictures were pictures of people with full beards or bearded people. At the same time, some men were shown to be more masculine when they tried to show the faces of some men through photoshop.
Eyebrows were raised to give a masculine look to the faces seen in the photographs. Wide jaw, deep eyes, and cheeks also made some changes through Photoshop. After seeing these pictures, the contestant women had to give a rating of zero to 100 on the basis of a long term or short term relationship for attraction.
After this, it was revealed in the result that most of the women have given more ratings to the men holding a beard. Pictures of men with the beard on the masculine face were most liked.
Also, the outline of the masculine faces was more preferred than benign faces. After this, principal researcher Tessa Clarkson also explained the reasons behind this.
Tessa Clarkson said, 'Manly faces look physically stronger and more socially effective. Second, the wide jaw hides the less attractive parts of the face. But women who have more fear of bacteria or dirt do not like men who have a beer.
