Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Chennai's ancient city of Mamallapuram today as part of his two-day visit to India where he will have an informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chinese President's conversation with PM Narendra Modi is going to come at a time when the recent statements between the two countries on the issue of Kashmir have created an uncomfortable situation. Preparations have been completed for the grand reception of Chinese President Xi Jinping in this ancient city located on the seashore.

The summit is going to be held at Mamallapuram near Chennai is significant amid tensions between India and Pakistan and China's frequent contradictory statements on Kashmir. PM Modi reached Chennai at 11.15 am where he would welcome Xi Jinping

Xi will land in Chennai around 2 pm. From there, the two leaders will go to Mamallapuram around 5:30 pm. After Wuhan, the agenda for the Second Informal Summit will be trade, proposed free trade with ASEAN countries, border disputes and the issue of 5G. Kashmir is an internal matter of India, therefore PM Modi will not discuss it. If Xi Jinping teases this, India will make him aware of the side.
