Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnayak has condemned the violence that took place on Sunday evening at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said in a tweet that in the present time, a phase of protests and unrest has started in the entire country. This type of incident should not happen in teaching.

The Chief Minister has said that violence has no place in democracy. The Chief Minister has also requested the administration to arrest the person involved in the incident and punish them as per law. Along with this, the Chief Minister has expressed grief over the health of the injured students and teachers and wished them to get well soon.

Significantly, more than 50 masked miscreants created a furore at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi on Sunday evening, in which more than two dozen students and teachers were injured. Extensive police force has been deployed in the college campus to deal with any situation. After this incident, an alert has also been issued in Aligarh Muslim University Allahabad University and Kashi Hindu University (BHU) Varanasi. The force was deployed on Sunday in Aligarh Muslim University in view of security.
