Chicken Roll: Try this Delicious Street-Style Recipe at Home

Chicken rolls prepared with a variety of vegetables, yogurt, lightly roasted chicken inside the paratha is a delicious recipe in North India. These rolls are quite popular across the country, which people like to eat mostly as an evening snack.

Ingredients:

200 g chopped chicken cubes

1 small chopped tomato

1/2 pinch red chilli powder

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Chopped cucumbers  1/2 strip

1/2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1 large thin sliced onion

2 small chopped green chilies

2 pinch garam masala powder

1 lemon stick

1 teaspoon tomato ketchup

1 Tbsp Green Chilli Sauce

For marination:

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1 pinch turmeric

2 pinch black pepper powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic paste

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1 teaspoon low fat curd

1/2 teaspoon ginger paste

Salt to taste

1/2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup water

 Step 1:

To make this easy snack item, mix coriander powder, black pepper, garlic paste, cumin powder, curd, turmeric and ginger paste in a bowl and mix well. Then mix the freshly washed chicken pieces in it and mix it with the rest of the ingredients and leave it to separate for an hour or more.

 Step 2:

Heat the oil in a frying pan on low heat. After this, lightly cook onions till it turns brown. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Now mix the marinated chicken in it and cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. After this, add 1-2 cups of water and keep stirring occasionally.

 Step 3:

Similarly, cook the chicken while stirring in between. If the chicken becomes too dry then sprinkle some water in it. Once this is done, add garam masala powder. After mixing it well, take it off the flame and keep it aside.

Step 4:

To make dough, add water slowly to the flour, vegetable oil and salt and knead the dough until it becomes soft. Now make an equal 3 to 4 dough balls from it and roll it on a flat place, usually a little thicker than the rolled bread.

 Step 5:

After this, bake parathas one at a time on a hot griddle on low heat. Then, without applying oil, bake it till an equal brown spot on both sides and after applying oil on both the sides, keep it aside after cooking. Remember that you do not bake more paratha, otherwise it will become stiff later.

 Step 6:

Finally, spread the chicken slightly on the baked paratha with a line. Now put lemon juice all over these chicken and garnish with some chopped onion, cucumber and coriander leaves. Putting tomato ketchup and a few drops of chilli sauce on them will taste even more better.

 Step 7:

After that roll the paratha well and wrap the tissue on half of it. Fold the last part of the tissue inward and your street style chicken roll ready to eat.
