India's senior tennis player Leander Paes has made it clear what he wants to do after retirement from professional tennis. Paes has already announced to say goodbye to tennis after the 2020 season.

Paes wants to prepare young players for India in tennis like national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand and  under-19 and India A cricket team mentor Rahul Dravid. Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu brought two Olympic medals to India under the supervision of Gopichand while former cricket captain Dravid has played a big role in preparing the Under-19 and India A teams.

Paes said, 'If we look at the former players of India, whom I respect very much, it will be Rahul Dravid and Pullela Gopichand who have prepared the young generation for the top-level game. Leander Paes, who had won eight Grand Slams, went on to team up with Australia's Matthew Abden at the Tata Open Maharashtra but lost to Ramkumar Ramanathan and Purav Raja in the first round.
