Center & UP government Arranged Free Trains and Buses for the Return of Migrant Workers: CM Yogi

In the meeting, CM instructed that all the divisional commissioners should regularly monitor the arrangements for arrival of labor-specific trains in their respective divisions, and then to send the migrant workers to their home district by bus.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the central and UP government has made arrangements for free train and bus service for the respectable and safe return of migrant workers. The migrant workers should not travel on foot or by illegal and unsafe vehicles keeping in mind the interests of themselves and family. He instructed to ensure the provision of food and water for the migrant workers at the border area as well as toll plaza expressway and major intersections.

The Chief Minister directed the migrant laborers to be made aware about the safe journey of train and bus and said that so far more than 14 lakh migrant workers have reached 838 laborers by express trains in the state. 206 more trains will come in the next two days and thus, 1,044 trains have been arranged. Yogi Adityanath was reviewing the lockdown system at a high-level meeting on Wednesday.

In the meeting, he instructed that all the divisional commissioners should regularly monitor the arrangements for arrival of labor-specific trains in their respective divisions, and then to send the migrant workers to their home district by bus. He said that 12 thousand buses of State Road Transport Corporation are transporting migrant workers to their home district. Apart from this, the state government has arranged 200 buses at the request of each district collector. In this way, in all 75 districts, a total of 15 thousand buses have been made available to the district magistrates additionally.

The Chief Minister said that food and drinking water should be made available to migrant workers as soon as they enter the state's border. After screening them, arrangements should be made to get them safely and safely to their destination. He said that it should be ensured that no one is hungry in the state. Food should be provided to all needy people through community kitchens.

He also directed to provide food grains to all eligible families. The Chief Minister said that large numbers of migrant laborers are still coming, keeping in mind that arrangements should be made to increase the total capacity of separate habitat centers to 15 lakh in the state. Similarly, all necessary arrangements should be made to provide food to 1.5 million people through community kitchens. CM Yogi directed to increase the total number of beds in L-1, L-2 and L-3 Covid hospitals to 75 thousand.

The Chief Minister said that as per the latest guidelines of the Government of India, the scope of permissible activities has increased during the lockdown period. In view of this, effective patrolling should be done by the police to strictly observe the physical distance and not to let the crowd gather. The police should regularly patrol the market etc. Intensive patrolling should also be done in rural areas and Patrolling work on high-way, expressway through PRV-112.

He said that wheat is being procured from farmers under the price support scheme. Purchase centers have been set up in the state for the convenience of farmers. The Chief Minister directed to make wide publicity of wheat purchasing centers, so that more and more farmers can take advantage of the scheme and get the right price for their produce.
