CBSE Syllabus 2020-21: Big Relief for CBSE Students

On Tuesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the syllabus for class 9th to 12th will be reduced by 30 per cent. This arrangement will be applicable for session 2020-21. The decision has been made keeping in mind the anomalous situation of the coronavirus epidemic," information was given in a tweet by CBSE.

Advised to reduce the syllabus

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank also provided information by tweeting. He said that in view of the extraordinary situation in the country and the world, CBSE has been advised to reduce the syllabus.

He also wrote that a few weeks ago I had sought suggestions from academics for my decision and I got more than one and a half thousand suggestions in this matter.

CBSE releases revised syllabus notification

Following the announcement of the HRD Minister, CBSE has also issued a notification to revise Academic Syllabus 2020-2021 from class 9th to 12th. The notification says that due to Covid-19 and lockdown, there has been a lot of loss of students' studies.

The classroom study has been badly affected. The syllabus from class 9th to 12th has been rationalized keeping the situation in view and keeping the core subjects in the course.

Internal assessment

CBSE said that the heads and teachers of all the schools should also ensure that the topics which have been removed from the syllabus, should also be explained to the students when required.

However, the removed topics will not be part of the internal assessment or annual board examinations. Questions will not be asked about topics removed in internal assessment and annual board examinations.

A petition had to be taken to conduct the examination

Let us know if CBSE has announced that it will conduct the remaining examinations from July 1 to July 15. But some parents felt that this could harm children's health.
