On Saturday, 25 cases have been registered under various sections of the police station against the owners of 43 establishments of Bahraich on charges of letting children to work under the “No Child Labor” campaign being run by the police. Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar, the nodal officer of the “No Child Labor” campaign, gave information in this regard.

He said that under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Neera Rawat last month, under the supervision of Bahraich Superintendent of Police Vipin Mishra, the surprise action started on Friday, more than a dozen hotels, restaurants, people gathering stalls, medical stores, bicycle stores , 48 child laborers were found to be working at a total of 43 places, including furniture, vegetables and other establishments.
25 cases have been filed against all the accused employers
He informed that all these child laborers were freed with the help of the voluntary organization Countryside Child Line-1098. Seven teams are working to conduct the campaign. Nodal officer Kumar said that a total of 25 cases have been filed against all the accused employers in various police station areas.
Cases have been registered under sections 370 (01) and (06) of the IPC
He said that cases were being investigated against 20 accused in Thana Jarwal Road, three each in Thana Kaiserganj and Kotwali Dehat, nine in Kotwali Nagar and eight in Thana Dargah Sharif. Jitendra Chaturvedi, director of the countryside, a voluntary organization cooperating with the police and administration in the campaign, said that under sections 370 (01) and (06) of the IPC, cases have been registered against the accused, including imprisonment for seven to 10 years and fine. There is a provision of punishment. Those accused of committing the crime for the second time can also be sentenced to double.
