The former Indian captain wants to run a school in the city's New Town area. For this purpose, he had taken this land from the state government. But the state corporation WB-HIDCO (West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation) made this allocation by ignoring the rules, due to which both are now seen in trouble. The Calcutta High Court was hearing a PIL in this matter. It was a case of two and a half acres of land

Due process was not followed

According to the sources, the court also said that it is not going to cancel the allotment as it is already in a state of surrender. But this fine of 50-50 thousand on the state government and WB-HIDCO can be increased further. In this PIL, it was said that in the matter of allotment of land to Ganguly, the due process was not followed and he was handed over the land by the state government without inviting tenders. However, Ganguly returned it only after seeing his name in controversies.
