Bypoll Results 2021: Counting begins in 3 Lok Sabha and 29 Assembly Seats

Counting of votes for the by-elections to 3 Lok Sabha and 29 assembly seats in 13 states and union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has begun. By-elections were held on these seats on 29 October.

Counting of votes for the by-elections to 3 Lok Sabha and 29 assembly seats in 13 states and union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has begun. By-elections were held on these seats on 29 October. The result of which is to come today. Most of these seats are contested between BJP and Congress. At the same time, triangular matches are also being held somewhere. So somewhere the regional party is giving competition.

Competition in 3 Lok Sabha and 29 assembly seats

By-elections were held for 29 assembly seats including three Lok Sabha seats vacant in Mandi, Khandwa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In the 13 states that contested for 29 assembly seats, five seats were in Assam, four in West Bengal, three each in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, while Bihar, Karnataka and Rajasthan had two seats each. And one each from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Mizoram and Telangana.

Mandi, Khandwa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli

Talk about the by-elections in three Lok Sabha seats, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Mandi of Himachal Pradesh and Khandwa of Madhya Pradesh, after the death of the sitting members of the three Lok Sabha seats. By-elections are being held for the vacant seats. Mandi seat fell vacant after the death of Ram Swaroop Sharma (BJP) MP. At the same time, Khandwa parliamentary seat fell vacant after the death of BJP MP Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan. Whereas, Dadra and Nagar Haveli was vacated by the death of Independent Lok Sabha member Mohan Delkar.

Kalaben Delkar, the wife of independent late MP Mohan Delkar, is contesting as a Shiv Sena candidate in Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha seat. He is pitted against Mahesh Gavit of BJP and Mahesh Dhodi of Congress. At the same time, there is a contest between BJP candidate Dnyaneshwar Patil and Congress candidate Rajnarayan Singh Purani in the Khandwa by-election. Whereas, Pratibha Singh is contesting against BJP's Khushal Singh Thakur in Mandi.

Important contest in Kusheshwar Asthan and Tarapur in Bihar

Talking about the assembly by-elections, there is an important contest in Kusheshwarsthan and Tarapur in Bihar. Here there is a close fight between RJD and JDU. At the same time, in West Bengal, TMC leader Udayan Guha is trying to win the Dinhata seat again. Here TMC is competing with BJP. The ruling BJP in Assam is facing tough competition from Congress. At the same time, elections are being held in Haryana due to the resignation of INLD leader Abhay Chautala in protest against three agricultural laws. Here INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala's son is pitted against Congress candidate Pawan Beniwal and BJP-JJP candidate Gobind Kanda.
