BWF Releases Latest Badminton Rankings

Chinese Tai Tzu-Ying, who became champion for the third time in All England, regained the number one spot. Tzu-Ying defeated China's Chen Yufei in the final.

World champion PV Sindhu lost first position in the latest rankings after defeat in the quarter-finals of the All England Badminton Championships while B Sai Praneeth was out of the top-10. Sindhu lost to Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in the quarterfinal. Sindhu has now slipped from the sixth position to seventh place, while Carolina Marin of Spain has moved up one place to number six.

Chinese Tai Tzu-Ying, who became champion for the third time in All England, regained the number one spot. Tzu-Ying defeated China's Chen Yufei in the final. Yufei lost her number one position and slipped to second place while Tzu Ying has again regained the top spot.

Saina Nehwal, who was eliminated in the first round of the tournament, remains at 20th position. In the men's singles, B Sai Praneeth has slipped three places to number 13 while Kidambi Srikanth has retained his 14th position. Parupalli Kashyap also remains at number 24.

Young player Lakshya Sen has improved two places to 27th while HS Prannoy has dropped one place to 28th. In men's singles, All England champion Denmark's Victor Axelsen has jumped three places to number four. Japan's Kento Momota holds the first position.

In men's doubles, India's pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty dropped one place to number 10. No Indian pair is included in the top-25 of women's doubles. Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy have improved one place to 28th thanks to their performance in the second round. There is no Indian pair in the top-25 of mixed doubles. Pranav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy have fallen one place to 27th.
