Earlier, it was decided to cancel the Hyderabad Open Badminton tournament to be held in Hyderabad, India from 11 to 16 August. The World Badminton Federation (BWF) took this decision on 4 June in view of COVID-19. The BWF had said, "The BWF and Badminton Association of India have agreed to cancel the Hyderabad Open 2020 (11 to 16 August), a Super 100 tournament of the BWF Tour. The tournament was part of the revised BWF calendar that was created to restore the game after the tournament was canceled since March due to an epidemic."
The PGA Tour will begin with the Charles Schwab Challenge Golf Tournament starting on Thursday after being closed for three months due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
